Morning Journal--Latest facts and theories on the Malaysian airliner

·         General Mills, Inc. (GIS): FQ3 EPS of $0.62 misses by $0.02.
·         Revenue of $4.38B (-1.1% Y/Y) misses by $50M.

o    Oracle (ORCL): Q4 EPS of $0.68 misses by $0.02.
o    Revenue of $9.3B (+3.7% Y/Y) misses by $60M.
·         ParkerVision (PRKR -3.9%) reported Q4 EPS of -$0.07, missing the sole analyst forecast by a penny. The IP licensing firm ended the quarter with $17.2M in cash/securities, down from $23.1M at the end of Q3. (PR)
·         No revenue was generated in Q4. The sole analyst forecast is for Q1 revenue of $20M, and 2014 revenue of $135.5M. R&D spend rose 19% Y/Y to $3M, and G&A spend (inc. legal expenses) 36% to $4.4M.
·         ParkerVision's issued patent portfolio grew by 5 in Q4 to 241. The company has 39 patent applications pending.
