            The International Council of Shopping Centers reported weekly sales of major retailers up 1.4% versus the prior week and up 2.3% versus the comparable period a year ago; Redbook Research reported month to date retail chain store sales up 0.7% versus the similar time frame last month and up 2.9% on a year over year basis.

            February housing sales were up slightly but less than expected.  However, building permits were up 4.6% much stronger than anticipated.
