            The International Council of Shopping Centers reported weekly sales of major retailers up 4.7% versus the prior week and up 1.9% versus the comparable period a year ago; Redbook Research reported month to date retail chain store sales up 0.8% versus the similar time frame last month and up 3.5% on a year over year basis.

            February factory orders rose 3.0% versus expectations of an increase of 2.9% and versus the January reading of -2.0%.

            March vehicle sales were flat.
